New River N22 started as a mother-daughter project in 2013 when we would suffer from headaches and tiredness every morning after burning our favourite tealights the night before. After researching we discovered that paraffin wax may be the trigger. We opted to make our own candles using only 100% pure eco soybean wax, lead-free cotton wicks and phthalate-free fragrance oils.

The surplus was regularly gifted to friends and family and the suggestion to start selling them was frequently made over the last 8 years. Living by the 'New River' in North London gave the venture its name with the mission to use up our cheesecake ramekins and cat food tins. Many in our area regularly donate ramekins, jam jars and suitable tin containers to turn into amazing candles. We DO NOT have fancy boxes, to ensure we don't add to landfills. The cellophane to protect is biodegradable.
