Orange Fruitcake Arts & Crafts
I'm Becky, a Vegan Fantasy Artist from Derbyshire, and the face behind 'Orange Fruitcake Arts and Crafts'.
My Art style is shaped by my ethics, and reflects the love and respect I have for Nature, History, and storytelling. It helps me to seek positivity through bleak times, and I hope it does the same for my customers.
To my Art is an escape, a time to let Fantasy and Whimsy take over.
My shop ethics are 'DO NO HARM'. I print works myself from my home studio, recycling empty ink cartridges and replacing them with high quality refurbished ones. I am constantly striving to find new ways to improve my sustainability in my work and home-life.
As well as originals, my Art work is available on stickers, greetings cards, and prints in a range of sizes.
I have several collections which raise money for charity including Viva! (The Vegan Charity) and my local SABS.
(A note about materials)
The Oil Paint I use contains no animal by products and no animal testing is carried out during manufacture. I either paint on sustainably sourced wood, or up-cycled materials. I also use colouring pencils which are vegan, and are made from vegetable oil and high quality pigments, providing a real vibrancy to my original drawings.
I post works via Royal Mail.
All of my packaging is plastic free, the protective wallets I use for my cards and prints are made from vegetable starch which is fully compostable. And I use recycled paper grey-board, envelopes, postal sacks and packing tubes to ensure all work is kept save in transit. Even the packing tape I use is made from recycled paper, and contains no animal bi-products.
